San Jacinto

April 12, 2015 by Robert Tsai

the current thought is..
the finite-ness of the human body. being tired vs. being exhausted.

its one thing to be exhausted but still having a means of transportation to get from place to place... or home and back into bed. exhaustion on a mountain means you're exhausted and you still have to find your way back. its one thing to push limits but is also another to know how far you're going to do it and to do it so you're not stuck.. on a mountain.

props to Allen for making it to the top and back!

“The view from San Jacinto is the most sublime spectacle to be found anywhere on this earth.” - John Muir

the current thought is:

perhaps this is what I’ve been looking for… an avenue to continuously challenge the mental and physical self, despite all the shifts that have been, or will be, occurring. with the last year or so, the thought has been less about “replacing” dance, but rather, elevating the principles instilled through dance: physical wellness, cognitive plasticity, but more importantly, the balance between the two. knowing intentions and trusting abilities in order to recognize, then maximize personal limits in the long term.

I suppose the idea of preparation now extends beyond injury prevention, and includes not getting lost in the woods or falling off a mountain. here’s to new adventures.
